Their second lifetime together brings us some familiar faces... (Purple Girl from Chapter 4 And This Chapter and Also Green Girl From The Last Page Of Chapter 5)

Comic transcript

Anael looks at the sky, face dappled with the shadow of a tree. ANAEL: "Yes." Carys smiles at her. A horizontal bar indicates a scene change. CIARA and MALLORY dance together in a candlelit setting. Mallory wears a tuxedo and a green bow tie, her hair chopped in a pixie cut. Ciara wears a purple 1920s down with sheer fabric flowing from her shoulders and satin gloves. Her hair has marcel waves and is gathered into a low updo. ANAEL: "The second time I met you, love did not come easily to me as it had before. I had to work for it. I ran towards your light in a different way. Both of us had never made very good first impressions. Not the first time, and not this time either. But the work that came after was always worth it." Ciara lays on a bed with a brass headboard, the room lit by a hurricane lamp. She wears a lavender slip. Mallory sits next to her in a short union suit, eyes closed and her knees pulled to her chest. MALLORY: "Was I worth it?" Ciara puts her head on Mallory's shoulder. CIARA: "Of course you were. You still are."
