Akiva lets out the breath she had been holding in, utterly relieved. AZRAEL: "I should have known the day I pardoned you that we would meet again. You were supposed to die, and Anael's Mark saved your life. Pacts are one of the strongest connections there are, you see. The balance tipped harder for you." He looks away. AKIVA: "So that's why...
