Comic transcript

Past midnight, the Paulina Brown Line CTA station is empty and illuminated by the platform lamps in the darkness. The top of Willis Tower (booo it's the Sears tower) glows blue from behind a cover of dense fog as the city lights glow orange far below. The sun slowly rises in the dawn over a view of the skyscrapers facing Millennium Park facing south, eerie fog drifting through the greyness dotted with lights and sliced through by a telephone wire. Still foggy as it gets brighter looking southward past the Art Institute at the huge wall of buildings lining South Michigan Avenue. The red neon sign of the Congress Hotel cuts through the mist. All the trees are bare in the dead of winter.
